Kia Ora and a big Hello!

Thanks for taking interest in Ladies of the Line Up Surf Boutique and Community and how exactly things came to be! 

​Here's the background scoop..

​

Summer time is pretty simple here when you live in the Coromandel of New Zealand - Work, Surf, Repeat- or something like that if you are me.  My creative mind needed somewhere to go while cleaning holiday accomodation during the summer months.  I needed something new to work on and look forward to. 

​

Although surfing came to me later in life, it was something I had always wanted to do. Growing up, none of my girlfriends were interested in surfing so I ran with my other biggest passion and travelled the world snowboarding. Eventually the scales tipped and work commitments began to misalign with winter seasons. I had no choice but to get myself out there and get in the water!

 

ABSOLUTLEY NO REGRETS.

The coolest thing that stood out to me about surfing was the supportive sisterhood between the girls in the waves. I loved it! I wanted to celebrate it, embrace it and make sure the next generation of groms would get the vibe and run with it.

Hello... Ladies of the Line up!

Its been alot more work than I ever expected, but so fun and rewarding at the same time. You never know how you will go putting yourself out there and sharing your ideas. But until now, I have had only the most supportive people backing me up and giving me that confidence to just "have a go!"

So here's to celebrating WOMENS SURFING and all the GEMS who are getting involved, following dreams and shaking things up!
