ALMOST SUMMER SURF SUITS & STIK_A_LICIOUS SURF WAX

Which surfboard are you currently surfing and what are its dimensions? Bunny Chow by Al Merrick is my absolute favorite, measuring 5'10 with a volume of 29L. From the get go I always said the Bunny Chow takes me surfing, not the other way 'round. I am playing around with a JS MonsterBox at the moment in similar dimensions which has a squash tail - such a different ride!! But I am enjoying the challenge of getting it to work for me.
How long have you been surfing? I first learned about 10 years ago, but only started taking it seriously in 2019. I had always wanted to be surfer when I was younger but there were not many girls doing it. Instead I followed winters around the world snowboarding until eventually I decided to get surf lessons while working in St Martin, Caribbean. I have never looked back!
Where is the most unforgettable place you have surfed? Definatley Nutmegs, Samoa. It's a point break that only works when the trade winds are really strong and it manages to wrap around the headland. The tropical jungle reflects on the water making it seem emerald green but turns turquoise when it barrels. Being the only female in the line up, the guys were very polite and let me take any of the waves I wanted. I actually had to take a break from the water because I was too hot, that was a first for me!

What inspired you to design wetsuits?I adore my wetsuit collection and enjoy wearing different ones depending on the day. I love adding color to the water and having fun with it. I aim to design suits that keep you warm during slightly colder summer waters, while making you feel confident and comfortable. I hope one day to see women sporting my designs in the waves or on the beach. Additionally, with the tools I use for designing my suits, I can provide online fittings to help individuals find the best size and style for their unique body shapes.
What is the deal with the surf wax? a This was a wee spin off project, something that had been in my mind for years. I remember finding this amazing smelling wax in the USA and wishing I could buy it again. I was also sick of finding random bits of wax and not knowing what temp it was for - hence the slight tinting.. and a tin as opposed to a cardboard box that rips and gets destroyed in 5 minutes. So, either refil the tin or not, you should know what wax is what ;)
